El Morro de Puerto Rico
El Morro de Puerto Rico is one of the places most visited by tourist that go to Puerto Rico every year. First because El Morro is in old San Juan which is the area where most of the tourists stay or at least is really close to the most visited Puerto Rico Hotels. El Morro is also known as Castillo de San Felipe del Morro. The constructions started in the year 1540. In1983 El Morro was declared World Heritage and today is part of the National History of Puerto Rico. Over the years they been some changes made to El Morro but it seems that not matter what changes they made on the past now days they are trying to have El Morro as close as they can to the architecture that El Morro has before any changes were made.

Why El Morro? This is a good question and I’m going to try to explain it as best as I can. First El Morro have a lot of Puerto Rico History since that’s the place that protected Puerto Rico for many attacks years and years ago. It took a lot of years to make El Morro the way it is but they got it to the way they wanted. First it is in an area that is beautiful because you can see a lot from Puerto Rico and second it is relaxing to go since El Morro is in the Old San Juan you will be able to see more historic places on your way.

My suggestion is that the day you pick to go to El Morro in Puerto Rico you should try to get up early and try to catch all the videos and all the information that they offer there. It’s good to know more about all the attacks that were made to Puerto Rico and everything that they had to go through in the past. I always say that this is a place that you must go no matter what when you go to Puerto Rico since everywhere you go boricuas and people that been in Puerto Rico will ask you did you went to El Morro de Puerto Rico? I hope this information helps you on adding this place to your list on your next visit to Puerto Rico. The tickets to go in normally are around $2.00 to $5.00 for Adults and Minors. Have in mind that this could change at any time. That’s not including Parking or anything inside El Morro.

A little more about Puerto Rico

About Puerto Rico, What else can I say? I just want to share a little more information about the Island Puerto Rico. Most of the people, tourist that go to Puerto Rico every year they normally stay in the north of the Island San Juan because that’s the place that you can find most of the Clubs, Hotels and few beaches.

Let me tell you that if every tourist that goes to Puerto Rico and stay in San Juan or in the north side of the Island knows that theres more than that in the other places in Puerto Rico they will regret just staying in only one part of the Island. My experience because I lived 20 years in Puerto Rico is that even me didn’t know about a lot of places that you can go that you can have a good time and see stuff that is most have to see. Just to name a few El Yunque, Cuevas de Camuy, Arecibo Radar and much more. These places are areas that you need to see when you go to Puerto Rico since it talks by itself about the culture, and history about Puerto Rico. Also there some small hotels and resorts in the West and the South that I recommend you to take a look at them and if you can to at least spend a night on them.

Other places that you need to consider to go are:

Boqueron - this are beaches in and close to Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. Viequez and Culebra - you need to take a small airplane or a boat to get here but this are good places if you want to go in a get away and have a good time. This places are relaxing and they have some of the best private beaches in Puerto Rico. Plaza de Ponce - This place have a lot of History and if you go there you can see that in the downtown the houses still have the same design from years, years ago.

Well I could stay here all day talking about Puerto Rico but like I said at the beginning this is a little about Puerto Rico. I hope that you guys enjoy my information and that If you are planning to go to Puerto Rico on the near future have in mind that there’s a lot more places than San Juan, Puerto Rico not that San Juan is not a good place but you should try to go to different cities so you can feel more about the little stuff that makes Puerto Rico and pleasant place. If you have any questions or wants more information don’t forget to visit Puerto Rico

Weather in Puerto Rico

The Weather in Puerto Rico, for all of you that wonder how is the weather in Puerto Rico let me tell you that you cant complain since the weather is pretty stable and around the same temperature all year around. Temperatures in Puerto Rico are normally 75 to 90 all year around on most of the places and around the mountains normally it will go lower than that. Humidity is the only thing that kind of bothers the temperature in Puerto Rico since depending on the humidity you can feel a little weird since you are most likely have to take two showers a day.

The good thing is that at least when is summer and the weather in Puerto Rico is a little bit uncomfortable more some people you can go to the beach and you can refresh yourself and have a good tan and time. Also then in winter time at least you can have a nice weather and not to cold for the need of the jacket.

I want to let you know that if you lives on a cold place and you are planning to go to Puerto Rico you can still go to the beach and you will have a good time because the water might be cool for the Boricuas but not for the people that go from a cold place. I lived in Puerto Rico for a long time and let me tell you now that I live away every time I go to Puerto Rico even if is winter time I go to the beach because the temperature is a lot warmer than what I have in the states at that time. Other stuff to have in mind about the weather in Puerto Rico is that the little mosquitos are going to be all over you specially if you go to places close to the ocean.

Finishing my little article about the weather in Puerto Rico I want to add that no matter what month you want to go to Puerto Rico is always going to be a good time since the weather is not cold and not to hot and like some people say the tropical weather in Puerto Rico. Hope this article help you with understanding or planning your trip to Puerto Rico if you have any questions please visit Nuestro Puerto Rico and you will be able to read more about Puerto Rico

Languages Spoken in Puerto Rico

Spanish is the main language spoken in Puerto Rico follow by English. In Puerto Rico 90% of the population speak Spanish all the time unless they don’t have any other choice. Every school in Puerto Rico teach you both languages Spanish and English but they focus more on Spanish and teach you English as the second language. So feel free to plan a trip to Puerto Rico because once you get there if you need to communicate you wont have that problem since in San Juan and most of the areas close to the tourist areas the people that work there are bilingual and if you go to a place that is not a tourist place trust me even if they don’t talk back to you, if you talk to them slowly they will understand you and they will be able to help you with anything that you are looking for.

There are some privates Schools in Puerto Rico that they teach you English only but this is a small percentage of school compare with all the schools in Puerto Rico but some people have the choice to go to a school that only teach you in English.

Some Colleges in Puerto Rico teach you French too and some other languages as an extra credit for your degree. But even like that most of the small towns and cities still focus everything on the Spanish languages. The thing with the Puerto Ricans is that they are a little bit shy and even that they know the English Language the refuse to speak English unless they don’t have any more choice. I include myself on that group because I’m Puerto Rican also know as Boricua and I refused to speak English or practice unless I had to and now I been living in the states for 8 years and trust me if it wasn’t for the education in Puerto Rico that they teach you that include English since you start on first grade it would it be really hard for me to start college in the states without the knowledge that I had. The good thing is that even that boricuas speaks the Spanish language all the time when they go to the movie theaters the movies are in English with the subtitles in Spanish and also the movies when you buy them they are in English. Another thing that helps too with the English Language is that if you get cable TV in Puerto Rico most of the channels are in English.

I guess to finish talking about the languages spoken in Puerto Rico I want to say that don’t be afraid if you’re the only language that you know is English because you will find Puerto Ricans in the tourist area that will speak to you in English and like I said before in this article even if is in a small town they will understand you as long as you slow your speed a little bit when you talk to them. If you have any more questions about Puerto Rico or want more information, please visit Nuestro Puerto Rico for more information about other stuff other than the Languages Spoken in Puerto Rico.

San Juan is the capital city of Puerto Rico. In San Juan you can find that some places in San Juan Puerto Rico keeps the historic buildings structure in the same way the Spanish Empire have them. The other area in San Juan is more oriented in modern things including the expressways, Hotels and buildings with the newest things available, you can see some Hotels in San Juan that are the same caliber of those ones that you can find in Florida and other places in the World.

Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan Puerto Rico. This is one of the mayor airports in the island and this airport brings in and out thousands and thousands of tourist and puertoricans day by day from to San Juan Puerto Rico. If this is the transportation that you choose to get to Puerto Rico you should be able to see those different areas in San Juan that I been talking about. I encourage you to go and look most of the places that San Juan has to offer you specially the historical area and the modern area. Also if you haven’t read my other articles about Puerto Rico I will recommend you to go to other places in Puerto Rico other than San Juan but since in this article we are talking about San Juan I will highlight those places that you must go for you.

Let start with those highlight areas that I talked about.

You need to go to el Viejo San Juan also known as Old San Juan, here you can find El Morro, Fuerte San Cristobal, La Fortaleza, El Paseo de la Princesa and also you can find the port for the cruises that arrive to San Juan Puerto Rico. For those of you that like to try different foods and don’t mind to eat on a place that is on the open in front of the beach I will recommend you to go to Piñones and try the different type of food that they have over there, every time I go to Puerto Rico 90% of the time I go to Piñones to eat.

Other places that I can suggest you to go in San Juan are el Condado, Ocean Park and Isla Verde. I hope that this information was helpful for you and that now you should have a more knowledge about San Juan, Puerto Rico if you are planning a trip to the Caribbean Soon. If you have any more questions don’t forget to visit Nuestro Puerto Rico for more information.
